The second annual Richland Center pumpkinfest theme has been chosen! A fourth grader at Richland center intermediate school, Austin Ewing, has won the first place prize for the 2024 theme contest! Austin thinks it would be cool to create pumpkins based on outer space; he also knows that there can be a bunch of excellent ideas that can be created with this theme.
Camden Muth chose the theme of Monster Truck Pumpkin Madness to win 2nd place. Camden is five years old and is homeschooled. Camden chose his theme because monster trucks are his favorite!
Alayna Mueller, Who is A second grader and attends Saint Mary’s school in Richland Center, came up with a third place winning theme of Circus Pumpkins! Alayna says circuses are just so much fun!
The 2024 Richland Center pumpkinfest theme contest was open to all area students, ages pre K through 5th grade. “There were a lot of great entries”, says Suzanne Anderson, Pumpkinfest committee member. Pumpkinfest is a community-wide event featuring decorated, carved, painted and more pumpkins, as creative as the person making it! Open to kids and adults of all ages. Your decorated pumpkin should be brought to the courthouse lawn on Wednesday October 23, between 3 and 7 pm. This is a FREE event! This year‘s pumpkinfest will be sponsored by Richland Center Lions Club and WP Dental.
Pictured with the students is Janet Krueger of the Lions and Dr. Katie Zang of WP Dental presenting awards to the kids. Mark your calendars for the second annual Richland Center Pumpkinfest, which will be held Wednesday, October 23 through Sunday, October 27, 2024, on the courthouse lawn!
